Jet Airways had grounded seven planes for non-payment of rentals. The airlines has suspended more than 13 plus international routes till end of April. These routes are mostly from Delhi and Mumbai according to sources.
Late Friday evening, the airline said in a filing to the stock exchanges late evening, “… an additional seven aircraft including two planes of JetLite, have been grounded due to non-payment of amounts outstanding to lessors under their respective lease agreements,”
According to reports the services that are temporarily called off include Pune-Abu Dhabi ,Pune- Singapore flights that were flying seven a week. Even Mumbai Manchester,Bangalore- Singapore flight has been suspended.
Not just that, the airline has also ended up giving huge discount for services from Delhi to Abhi Dhabi,Hong Kong and Riyadh.
