Ecuador denies decision made to expel WikiLeaks founder


Quito: A senior Ecuadorian official has said that no decision has been confirmed regarding Julian Assange’s expulsion from the country’s London Embassy despite the claims of WikiLeaks that he could be kicked out within hours or days.

Both supporters and protestors of Assange gathered around the country’s London embassy where he is lodged since August 2012.

WikiLeaks had said, “BREAKING- A high level source within the Ecuadorian state has told WikiLeaks that Julian Assange will be expelled within hours to days.”

Another tweet also clarified that they received confirmation of the above. Meanwhile, a top Ecuadorian official denied of any such development.
